Southern California Fine Art

On weekends I frequently visit local San Diego fine art galleries and art shows.   The art work displayed locally in fine art galleries are mostly of foreign or non native artist living in the U.S.  There are an abundance of excellent local art work as well but the genuine local fine artists seem to get lost in all the clutter.   Also visit the advertisement links to the right.  There are many good links to special galleries and fine artist links from all over.  I hope you enjoy.

Hallmark galleries in La Jolla, Ca.  have a few original Pino pieces.  I enjoy viewing his work.  I think he is an excellent artist.

If you are visiting the San Diego area don't miss the chance to stop by the La Jolla fine art galleries.  They are located on Prospect St. near all the tourist attractions.  (Village of  La Jolla)

Art lovers: Walk along the streets of The Village and you'll stumble upon many small galleries, where you can browse or buy. La Jolla's Museum of Contemporary Art is an oceanfront architectural splendor. The museum, which includes the original 1916 Scripps House designed by Irving Gill for Ellen Browning Scripps, is a clean, modern structure. In addition to putting on four major exhibitions a year, the MCA boasts a children-friendly art garden and a truly amazing view. Also of interest is the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library, which houses an extensive collection of books, periodicals and CDs, and functions as one of San Diego's smallest classical music venues.
